Hi! My name is Kim, the person behind Ljuslycka.se. My journey into creating scrunchies started ten years ago, and it was actually quite unexpected.

After foot surgery that required six weeks of rest without support on my foot, I was facing a long period of inactivity. My mother suggested I try sewing – something I had never been interested in before. I decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be a turning point. What started as a distraction quickly became a passion.

Today I still sew, and it’s scrunchies in particular that I’ve become obsessed with. With long hair, I’ve experienced the problems with regular hair ties: they break the hair, get stuck, and can cause headaches. I created my first scrunchies for myself, to solve these problems – and discovered what a difference they made. With my scrunchies, I can wear my hair up all day without feeling uncomfortable, and my hair is both healthier and happier.

When friends, family, and even people outside my immediate circle started asking about my scrunchies, I realized that more people could benefit from them. That inspired me to start this website, where I now share my products with you. Each scrunchie is handmade with care and a focus on quality. It’s not just a hair tie – it’s a way to take care of your hair and feel beautiful at the same time.
